Personal Coaching
Personal
coaches work with a wide range of individuals on a
host of inter or intrapersonal issues ranging form
coping with a crisis, focusing energy productively,
making successful transitions, living a happier and
more fulfilled life, and more. The client may or may
not be connected with a business and their career may
or may not have anything to do with the focus of the
coaching. Personal Coaching can be divided into two
categories: Life Coaching - when an individual client
retains the coach him/herself - and Executive
Coaching, when an organisation employing the client
retains the coach.
Executive Coaching
This
is when a company retains professional coach to coach
one or several employees individually because the
employer feels there are issues which need to be
addressed. The focus lies on job or work related
issues, although logically a client's private or
personal life always plays some role in the coaching.
Most often, the coaching occurs in the workplace and
the coach maintains some interface with the
employer, even though the content of the coaching
remains completely confidential.
Business coaches work with business professionals on
issues that include such as leadership, development,
increasing employee motivation, organizational
strategy, overcoming sales and marketing challenges,
effective communication skills, team building and
more.
